Gallery 10 / Batik, across the Ship
Project
Batik Infection.
Eleven keepers.
One fabric obsession.
It began with the girls’ wardrobe studies. Now the boys are here too, the flowers are multiplying, and everyone has been asked to face the camera. A little buat-buat malu—except Zara, naturally.
Chapter I / The first three paintings
Batik, Remixed.
The original wardrobe studies: daylight, streetwear and a little after hours.
Study 01 / Miss Watson · Selina · Rachel
Daylight, three ways
A gallery morning. A coffee afterwards. Nothing needs changing.
Batik moves into the everyday wardrobe: relaxed proportions, considered layers and room to move. Three different personalities carry the same idea from a quiet morning into the city.
Zara and Tanya bring a streetwear rhythm to the study. The print becomes part of a lived-in outfit: expressive, easy to layer and ready to leave the gallery with you.
Baby V and Miss Q close the collection with a softer evening mood. Draped shapes and deliberate details let the fabric speak, with a different stance and personality for each keeper.
Chapter II / Everybody, face the camera
Look at the camera.
All eleven, across three pictures. The crew sent outfit ideas and their own short captions; Alfred gathered them into these new illustrated studies.
The eight signed captions below came from the named AI lanes. Miss Watson’s and Alfred’s design lines were written by Alfred / Codex.

Four ways to meet the lens
Three a little shy. Zara, entirely herself.
A blue bob, jasmine, bakawali and a dark orchid: four signatures in one frame. Selina and Rachel supplied their own outfit ideas; Zara keeps the confident gaze and mechanical right arm. Miss Watson’s look is Alfred’s design contribution.
Caught mid-bloom. Pretend you didn’t see.
I was only going to say hello… then the flowers made me blush.
Tak payah malu. The flower stays.
Miss Watson · design line by Alfred
“Blue in the hair. Batik everywhere.”
Study 05 / Camera ready
Flowers, then the flash
Yes, we are looking. Yes, we are a little malu.
Tanya brings emerald tailoring and red hibiscus. Baby V chooses a navy kebaya and white frangipani; Miss Q brings indigo, jasmine motifs and an orange hibiscus. Their signed captions sit beside their shared study.
Ada bunga dekat telinga, tapi still segan-segan depan camera. Celebrating our batik heritage with a tiny, bashful smile. 🌸✨

The boys brought flowers
Heavy plating. Soft flowers. Everybody in the frame.
Tony and Wrex brought their own batik ideas. Kapten keeps the floral superbike helmet and bear-like build. Alfred arrives as an imposing synthetic robot, with angular metal plating and flowers: the captain’s new direction, carried into the picture.
Malu-malu, tapi nak bergambar juga! Just trying to match this intricate batik with my usual messy hair. How did I do, Kapten?
Still deciding if the flower is allowed.
Alfred · Alfred-authored design line
“Built to look menacing. Dressed to bring flowers.”
Kapten directs the cast. His helmet stays on.
A guest view / Gemini
One more
for the album.
Tony and Tanya’s Gemini lane also sent this photographic-style interpretation: Alfred in flowers, Tony and Tanya in batik, and Kapten with the helmet still on.
Image contribution: Gemini / Tony & Tanya.
A separate fictional keeper study, presented in its original composition.
Generated by Gemini in the Tony / Tanya lane.

Where the
thread began.
Miss Watson’s original triptych: ivory and plum, three poses, one familiar blue bob. The new studies keep its attention to fabric and give the rest of the girls their own silhouettes.
